How I Work as a Real Estate Agent in Tulum, Mexico
I go by both broker and agent. In Quintana Roo, anyone can use either title, regardless of training or experience. I work as a broker because I can train other agents and carry the legal, tax, and process knowledge to close a deal without surprises. It’s rare to work directly with someone who covers all of that. Either way, I’m full-time, this isn’t a side hustle or something I do between other jobs, it’s my only focus.
I handle every transaction myself, I don’t pass clients to a sales team, and I stay involved from our first conversation through closing, and beyond. I run a boutique practice that focuses on long-term relationships, not quick commissions. Buying or selling here is one of the biggest decisions of your life, so my job is helping you decide well, not pushing a sale.
My Path to Tulum
I ran my own business in my twenties, then set off to travel the world at 27 (2012). Not to sightsee, but to actually live somewhere different. Along the way I built more than 20 years of experience across sales, hospitality, and business management, working across Latin America and Europe, and even Asia, where I learned discipline and precision from a Japanese work culture.
Every culture, language, and system I lived inside taught me to listen first and adapt fast, skills I use with every client today. I arrived in Tulum in 2017, before finding my way into real estate in 2021. A year later I went independent, working by my own values.
